The founding purposes of the Las Fuentes de Junta Islámica Foundation are:
Promoting a responsible view of citizenship and respect for universal ethical values—and, in particular, the values of the great spiritual and Islamic traditions—through research, education, project development, cultural activities, social initiatives, and the promotion of entrepreneurship. The Institute of European Islamic Heritage is a project designed to protect and promote Europe’s Islamic cultural heritage and to serve as a tool for diverse civic participation and the sustainable economic development of local communities.
It carries out its work through three major projects
These projects bring together activities aimed at promoting an in-depth knowledge of the Andalusian heritage and the civilizational contributions from which European societies have developed. The ultimate purpose is to create opportunities for socio-economic development and exchanges of professionals and experts who design and produce knowledge-based services and products.
The Andalusi Medina Network is an instrument for the economic and social development of the territories included in the program. It aims to enhance the value of the Andalusi medinas and what their tangible and intangible heritage represents as a contribution of the Andalusi civilization.
On the other hand, a promotional program has been launched among countries of origin of Muslim tourists, which will ensure the visibility of tourism assets, particularly the less populated areas and every-day-life Andalusi heritage.
Likewise, several training programs in Halal and Muslim-Friendly Tourism are being carried out, since a certain specialization is necessary to attend to Muslim tourists.
Gastronomic science, through our Andalusian Haute Cuisine Laboratory, is a revulsive for the economy, tourism and the appreciation of diversity. The project is developed around gastronomy as an Andalusi intangible heritage.
The main objective of the laboratory is the recovery and application of knowledge of the artistic and artisan techniques of Al Andalus, to preserve and expand this knowledge. Socially, the role of the laboratory is the promotion and projection of young artists, as well as the transmission of knowledge to train new professionals and artists.
Escuela Halal is a training center specializing in the halal concept. Based in Spain, it offers online and in-person training to both individuals and organizations that have implemented or wish to implement a halal certification system integrated with the company’s other quality systems.
It is authorized by the Islamic Council to provide training related to maintaining the Halal Guarantee Mark granted by this organization.
Campus Halal, our virtual training center, offers a catalog of courses designed for companies and professionals whose products and services are intended for the Muslim public, whether in Europe or for export to the rest of the world.
