Flagship projects

European Islamic Heritage Institute

The European Islamic Heritage Institute is a project designed to protect and promote the Islamic cultural heritage of Europe and as a tool for diverse citizen participation and sustainable economic development of the territories.

We work on three major projects

  • Andalusi Medina Network
  • Laboratory of Haute Andalusian Cuisine
  • Andalusian Arts and Crafts Laboratory

These projects bring together activities aimed at promoting an in-depth knowledge of the Andalusian heritage and the civilizational contributions from which European societies have developed. The ultimate purpose is to create opportunities for socio-economic development and exchanges of professionals and experts who design and produce knowledge-based services and products.

Andalusi Medina Network

The Andalusi Medina Network is an instrument for the economic and social development of the territories included in the program. It aims to enhance the value of the Andalusi medinas and what their tangible and intangible heritage represents as a contribution of the Andalusi civilization.

On the other hand, a promotional program has been launched among countries of origin of Muslim tourists, which will ensure the visibility of tourism assets, particularly the less populated areas and every-day-life Andalusi heritage.

Likewise, several training programs in Halal and Muslim-Friendly Tourism are being carried out, since a certain specialization is necessary to attend to Muslim tourists.

Al Andalus Culinary Lab

Gastronomic science, through our Andalusian Haute Cuisine Laboratory, is a revulsive for the economy, tourism and the appreciation of diversity. The project is developed around gastronomy as an Andalusi intangible heritage.

Andalusian Arts and Crafts Laboratory

The main objective of the laboratory is the recovery and application of knowledge of the artistic and artisan techniques of Al Andalus, to preserve and expand this knowledge. Socially, the role of the laboratory is the promotion and projection of young artists, as well as the transmission of knowledge to train new professionals and artists.

Halal School - The Halal Academy

Escuela Halal is a training center specialized in the halal concept. Based in Spain, it offers on-line and classroom training to individuals and organizations that have implemented or wish to implement a halal certification system, integrated with the rest of the company’s quality systems.

It is authorized by the Islamic Board to provide training for the maintenance of the Halal Guarantee Mark granted by this organization.

Campus Halal, our virtual training center, offers a catalog of courses for companies and professionals who have products and services aimed at the Muslim public, either in Europe or for export to the rest of the world.
