Students of the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) will benefit from this agreement for educational programs that include courses related to the Andalusian civilization as well as access to the Live Campus Al Andalus, through educational stays and itineraries in Spain and Portugal.
The Live Campus Al Andalus programs include a series of educational experiences with Spanish and Portuguese professors and experts, specialized in Andalusian civilization, and will be able to learn in situ about different topics, including history, politics, literature, science, technology, art, crafts, geography and research methodologies, both archaeological and archival.
This project capitalizes on the synergies of the Network of Andalusian Medinas and includes the cities and enclaves already adhered to the Network, as well as the experts, artists, artisans and other professionals linked to it.
By 2025, the first group of Malaysian students will be received for an itinerary dedicated to the Capitals of Southern Al Andalus. Moreover, in the educational program, they will be offered a seminar on the North of Al Andalus and the research of Aljamiado manuscripts of the Moorish-Aragonese period.
