Agreement Between the Las Fuentes Foundation and the University of Indonesia to Promote the History of Al-Andalus
Cultural trips to Spain will be organized to deepen understanding of Al-Andalus civilization
A delegation from Universitas Indonesia met last Saturday in Córdoba with members of the Las Fuentes Foundation to sign two collaboration agreements. The first aims to promote cultural trips to Spain in order to deepen understanding of Al-Andalus and contemporary European studies.
The Indonesian delegation was led by professors Eva Achjani Zulfa and Jelang Ramadhan, while the Córdoba-based Fundación las Fuentes was represented by its director, Bárbara Ruiz-Bejarano.
The second agreement to be signed by the two institutions focuses on training for halal certifications, one of the world’s most dynamic economic sectors, including in the field of tourism.
The idea is to bring in guest lecturers from various European universities to develop a specific program covering politics, society, history, culture, trade, and relations between Europe and Asia. The meeting addressed all these issues and proposed setting them out in a detailed document.
The Indonesian delegation took advantage of its visit to Córdoba to tour the Great Umayyad Mosque and the palatial city of Medina Azahara.
